Terms and conditions of use

These terms govern the use of Leengua (https://leengua.co). By creating an account or using the platform, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What Leengua is

Leengua is a platform to practice English with artificial intelligence: a learning path, chat and voice conversations, mock interviews, vocabulary and videos with subtitles. It is designed for professionals who want to use English at work.

2. Your account

  • You must be over 18 and give us a valid email address.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens with your account.
  • The account is personal: do not share it or sell it.
  • You can ask us to delete your account by writing to hola@leengua.co.

3. Free plan and limited spots

For now, access is free, requires no credit card, and is limited to a number of accounts. When spots run out you can join the waitlist, but joining does not guarantee a place. The free plan includes monthly usage limits, currently: up to 5 practice conversations, 4 voice calls (20 minutes in total) and 60 messages to contacts per month. We may change these limits and the number of spots.

4. Paid plans

  • The Pro plan costs $369.000 COP per year in Colombia and US$119 per year everywhere else. It is a single payment for one year, processed through Bold.
  • There is no automatic renewal or recurring charge. We email you 7 days before it expires; if you do not renew, your account moves to the free plan and you keep your progress. If you renew early, your remaining days are added.
  • 7-day guarantee: if you cancel within 7 days of paying, we refund 100%, no questions asked. Request it from “My account” or by writing to hola@leengua.co. The plan is cancelled immediately and we send the refund within the next 5 business days.

5. Use of artificial intelligence

  • Conversations, corrections and feedback are generated by an AI. They may contain errors or inaccuracies; use them as practice and support, not as absolute truth.
  • Characters and interviewers are simulated. They are not real people and do not represent real companies.
  • Leengua does not guarantee specific results, such as getting a job, passing an interview, increasing your salary or reaching an English level within a set time.
  • Do not share confidential information from your employer or sensitive data of third parties in the conversations.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use the platform for anything illegal, offensive or harmful to other people.
  • Try to access systems, accounts or data without permission, or breach the security of the service.
  • Use bots, scripts or multiple accounts to get around usage limits or spots.
  • Copy, resell or redistribute the content, the lessons or the service without our authorization.
  • Try to manipulate the AI into uses other than learning English.

We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

7. Intellectual property

The platform, its brand, design, lessons, exercises and other content belong to Leengua or its licensors. We grant you a personal, limited and revocable license to use them while you have an account. Third-party videos shown on the platform belong to their owners. What you write or say remains yours; you authorize us to process it to provide the service.

8. Service availability

We work to keep Leengua available, but it is provided "as is". There may be interruptions, errors or changes, and we may modify, add or remove features.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Leengua is not liable for indirect damages or for losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, the platform, nor for decisions you make based on what the AI tells you. Nothing here limits the rights that Colombian law gives you as a consumer.

10. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its date. If you keep using the platform after the change, you accept it.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. For questions or claims, write to hola@leengua.co.

Language and applicable version

This is a courtesy translation. If there is any discrepancy between this version and the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.
